Who is Olde Glory Farm?
At Olde Glory Farm, you'll find a husband, a wife, three kids, three dogs, a lot of barn cats, chickens, bunnies, turkeys, and goats. And veggies. Oh, and a LOT of flowers.
Robb & Katie O'Dell are the husband & wife that packed up one slightly unwilling teenage boy and two very excited girls last winter and moved them from a 1/8 acre lot to a farm with a garden plot that was 1/8 alone! It's been an amazing first year!
They've brought this old family farm back to life, and love all the lives around them. They've longed for space for lots of animals and lots of yummy vegetables, and for Katie, flowers. She was a late-bloomer to gardening, but she's a natural, and nothing makes her happier than tending to her many varieties of plants. Last year, she encouraged Robb to put that love into becoming flower farmers. Robb and the kids all help plant, weed, and water, and she harvests the flowers at just the right time and makes them into beautiful displays for your enjoyment.
Already, Katie has tiny seedlings waiting to become the flowers you take to your wife to celebrate your anniversary, or in the bouquet you carry down the aisle to marry your soulmate. If you prefer to come cut your own, and do your own arranging, that can be done on Thursdays. Just call ahead to find out what is in bloom! If you'd like Katie to do all the design work, just contact us via email, Facebook or phone and schedule a visit out to the farm to go over ideas. Don't worry - if your favorite flower isn't in the fields, it can be ordered through other farmer florists so it meets the same high standards Olde Glory expects!
And, if you'd like to purchase veggies or fresh eggs, we'll have them available on Thursdays and Saturdays. Just give the farm a call to see what's been harvested. We'll be growing tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, beans, okra, cucumbers, zucchini and squash, and pumpkins in the fall! We hear Katie makes some of the best tastin' pickles you'll ever have too, so don't forget to stop out for a jar in late summer!
